Assertion Analysis #2 - Barack Obama
Barack Obama was the first black president in united states , the first time he was elected he won against Senator John McCain of Arizona. He was elected again for a second term and won against Former Massachusetts governor Mit Romney. He was a member of the democratic party. Obama Recently gave a speech at hes hometown , at the University Of Illinois. He talks about how we need more people to get involved in our democracy system and have women show that men are not more dominant. But hes main message in hes speech is to have this generation get more involved and especially for women to speak up and have their voices heard. Throughout Obama speech he uses allusion , imagery and anastrophe during his Urbana-Campaign speech at the University of Illinois.
The most effected devices Obama used in hes speech was allusion . In the document Obama states "this not a rock concert .. this not Coachella" he uses that as resemblance to connect to the audience . He uses that quote to get the students interested because they once heard about Coachella and he knows by using those words it would catch them and stir them in the right direction. He also uses " All we need are decent, honest, hardworking people who are accountable .. And who have Americas best interest at heart." he uses this quote because he wants the audience and the younger generation know that they are up next , that they are the future of the United States Of America .And because these issues are important to him he suggested us to stand up and take proud of being a citizen of the United States. That we are going to paint the picture of all the politics and careers that there are.
Another device Obama used was imagery. he uses the quote "but laced up their sleeves and grabbed a clipboard because they too believe...." and " We need more women in charge..." He uses those quotes to let the readers understands why women should come together and show that they can be as dominant as men. For the longest , women didn't have the right to vote. For example on august 20,1920 the 19th amendment granted women the right to vote , the 19th Amendment all American women the right to vote. Which meaning now since we have that right every woman or young adult should be able to vote and should be getting into politics career more than men do just so women can get their credit in the world. Obama was trying to convince women that we have a part in this world to,not everything is about men and what they can do. And theirs a reason why they think women don't need a part of everything they just feel like women she be house maids , work around the house or that were just supposed to sit up and wait around for the men to come around and take care of them. Which is not right women should have the same rights as men but nobody is ready to take up for those repercussion so that why they just sit back and watch.
As the audience sits back and continues reading Obama's speech , Obama talks about how the youth should get more involved and to not being afraid to speak their minds or share their opinion no matter what it is . He directs this to the younger people because he uses "what gong to fix our democracy is you.." Instead of using you're going to fix our democracy he used the word YOU to emphasize it to make it a little bit meaningful. he uses YOU at the end so hes audience can focus on it and have that as motivational term so they can stand up and believe whats right .
Obama is right us women need to get up and stand up for what we believe in . Women have the rights to do anything in the world . And for the youth we should stand up and be heard . we might not get our demands taken for but we might as well speak till we do . effort matters the most. With the younger people starting to vote , we can make America Great again . We can change the image on the American Dream . Obama believes or generation can fix this country .

Combine the last two sentences of paragraph 1 for a more effective thesis. Again, use the organizational structure talked about in class, specifically, make sure you provide context before you begin analyzing.
