Assertion Analysis Blog #5 : Cheif Joseph

        Chief Joseph , A Native American tribe member of the interior Pacific Northwest region of the United States, in the latter half of the 19th century. When the United States attempted to force Nez Perce to move to a reservation in 1877, he reluctantly agreed to leave. Throughout the passage Chief Joseph uses parallelism, syntax and pathos to portray his reasoning behind his relinquish.     Chief Joseph in his passage was talking about how all his men are getting taken away because of what type war they are in . Joseph talks about how tired he is of fighting if he's people are still getting taken away . And he's giving up because all he's people are dead . Assertion Analysis #4:John Fire Lame Deer

          Before the white men came in the picture , the natives Americans were here first , they had their own land . One of the Indians were name John Fire Lame Deer , in he’s book Seekers of Visions. He talks about how life was before the white men arrived . Throughout he’s passage John uses tricolon , satire and connation to show how civilized they were before the white men came and took over everything .    John Fire Lame Deer explains in the text how life was before the white men arrived , he points out  reasons on why it was better before the white men arrived such as they didn’t have to lock their doors because there were no criminals or thieves .
